Besides the two sisters. there. mourn a large connection of nephews and nieces. those most intimately associated being Miss Ada McLean of Toronto; Miss Kate, Messrs Hee. tor and Archie MacDonald of Glen- elg. The late Mrs McCannel was a woman of outstanding mentality, and the soul of Scotch hospitality. Her friends were wide-spread and many tt home has been cheered by her presence and counsel. She was an early Prrsident and amember ot tho Women's institute. and an active worker in, and faithful member of the Presbyterian Church; also in its auxiliary organizations. the Indies’ Aid, and the Women's Missionary Society. of which she was a Lite Member.
