B. testâ€" ing was taken from "The Farmers‘ Mascazine", March issue. "At the present time Grey County is having its cattle tested for tuberâ€" culosis. _ It‘s been a long time comâ€" ing but I think most of us are glad now that the test is actually here. Perhaps we do get a sinking feelâ€" ing when the vet passes along our rows of cattle. _ But our courage is bolstered by the fact thnt our youngâ€" sters won‘t have bovine T.B. if we can help it. And I‘m told that more children in Ontario are crippled by drinking infested milk than by even that more dreaded dGisease, infantile paralysis. What is the loss of a cow if we keep our children well ? Put we aren‘t losing cows. The persentase of reactors is very, very smaill. Most farmers aren‘t losin= any and even these reactors aren‘t valueâ€" Ipes The government man is liheral ‘n the nrice he sets and in addit‘ion to what we get from. him, we have what these cattle bring on the marâ€" ket _ Tess than ane in ten reâ€"actors roa to the tank and even these bring in something for we are pa‘d. for the hide. And for the other nine, we get full market price and the government indemnity as well. I don‘t think we‘re losing mone,vi and now we‘ve got assurance that | the milk we use is safe to drink. 1I,| for one, â€" am sincercly glad that the . test has come to Grey County.".
