These donations to be handed in at the January meeting. Ways and means of raising funds for Red Cross Headâ€" quarters were discussed which ended in favourable results. * Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Walter McAlister. also Mc and Mrs Charles McAlister, who have each adcoted a little baby into their homes. They are twin babies who were left motherless. The Red Cross report was given by Mrs J. C. Queen. _ The Institute ladies turned in 5 pr. socks and 1 scarf and acâ€" cepted more wocl. ‘The Sunshine report was given by Mrs Mack. Doâ€" nations of cash from the members toward the gift boxes for the soldiers and shutâ€"ins were received and conâ€" venors, namely Mesdames Young, Mack and Lawrence were appointed to pack the boxes on Wed. Dec. 18 at the home of Mrs Mack. A splendid paper on "Peace" was wead by Mrs J. Young and a poem ramely, "Have we ithat Peace?" A demonstration of homemade candy by Mrs Robert ‘Wilson folldwed and tested by each lady on weceiving a generous helping. The W.M.S. of Knox Church Norâ€" manby Monthly meeting was held at the home of Mrs. A. C. Marshall with quite ‘ a number of ladies presâ€" ent. The afternoon was rather a busy one ,this being the month for election of officers for the coming year. All were elected again with the exception of Mrs C. McAlister, Mrs Wilfred Peters being elected to fill the place left vacant by Mrs Mcâ€" Allister. The guest speaker for the meeting was the Reeve of the Township, Mr. Samuel Patterson, who gave a detailâ€" ed account of the Ccunty and Municiâ€" pal affairs of the County and Townâ€" ship, which proved quite instructive. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered the Reeve for his splendid address and untiring energy in comâ€" ing out to make the meeting a sucâ€" No. 1 Normanby Schcol concert is to be hald this Wednesday evening.
