BC 38 FAaATAL â€" RUxaway.â€"Joseph â€" Bailey was thrown out of his buggy on Wilâ€" son‘s hill last Saturday night and killed. He had been assisting to run logs down the Saugeen for Mr. Truax and had completed the job and was on his way home when the accident took place. It seems that a strap broke while going down the hill and the horse ran away. The son, a boy of about fifteen, jumped out and broke one of his legs, but. the father hang on to the buggy and when found a Sew minutes afterwards at the foot of the enbankment, by the boy, was apparently breathing his last. _A couple of farmers carried him into Mr. Wilson‘s, but he was dead before he was got into the house, Joseph Bailey was in his 56th year and was a small boy when he came .to Bentinck with his parents. He leaves a wife and seyeral children. The funeral took place on Tuesday to the Hanover cemetery.â€" Mr. ForeEst REr.â€"Mr. Dan. Kenney las sold out the Queen‘s hotel here to Mr. John Kenney, late of the Queen‘s Brampton. Dan. will leave Mt. Forest next Tuesday with his family and take possession of the Royal hotel, Market st., Guelph, where be says he will be pleased to meet his numerous friends from this town and vyicinity. He is a firstâ€"class hotel man and kept the reputâ€" ation of the Queen‘s up to the high standard it has always maintained as a leading hotel in this section of the proâ€" vince, and will be generally missed as a genial, popular citizen. The many friends of Mrs. Kenney and the family will also regret parting with them after their three years residence among us.
