My family rented this house from Dr. Ruddy (and later his widow) from about 1965 to 1971, when the property was to be sold and it was out of our family's means at the time. In about 1972, the exterior was used for the set of the movie "the borrowers" starring Eddie Albert. It is also the subject of the painting "Victorian Majesty" by artist Trisha Romance.
