Description
Black and white negative showing the fishing net drying racks that belonged to Joe Stevens. His fishing shack is visible in the background. Joe Stevens and Leonard Hoad are pictured.
Notes
Joe Stevens (1881-1963) was a commercial fisherman at Port Whitby from 1917 until his death. In 1947, he built a fishing boat which he named the 'Shirley S.', after his daughter. The boat was was in use until the mid 1960s and was broken up in 1978.
