My sister just directed me to this site. What fun to see our Dad's image and accomplishments pop up in the Whitby archives!
Our father and mother Kitty Perry Osborne lived everywhere-- from St. Thomas, to Parry Sound, to Windsor, to Douglas, Arizona, to Lake Worth, Florida, to Oshawa, and many other places.
They adored Whitby though, and I dare say that that was their idea of "home town". Even within Whitby they moved around a bit before building their house on Henry Street, where I spent my early childhood, and where my sister still lives.
Dad was very civic-minded his entire life, and took a lively interest in the growth and development of Whitby. Thank you for including him among your posted records, and evoking such fond memories for us!
Best regards,
Ellyn Osborne Seelye
