- Donald Bryant was born at Ashburn on 20 July 1908. Bryant was owner of Bryant's Taxi and Bryant's New and Used Car Garage from 1945-1958. The garage was located at the north-west corner of Byron and Dundas Streets in Whitby.
Bryant served on year on the Whitby Town Council in 1953. He died at Whitby on 9 December 1977 and is buried in Burns' Presbyterian Cemetery in Ashburn. - Date of Original
