- Notes
- William Gibson was the first son of Yeoman and Belinda Gibson. He was born at Whitby on 29 August 1852. Like his father, Gibson opened a grocery with a Mr. Sparvell at 102 Dundas St. W. in 1873. When their partnership dissolved, Mr. Gibson ran an establishment called the Whitby China Tea Store until 1886. Some time after that he moved to California and died at Pomona, California on 30 March 1924 and is buried there.
