September 9th, 1971, WHITBY FREE PRESS * ASTROLOGY AS I * SEE IT by Astrologer Ed Cheetham With all themagazines on the book- shelves of the market dealing with as- trology, to write more upon the subject seemssuperfluous One can easily buy a magazine, outlining the future for eachsignof the Zodiac, at least for a year, while others will sell you, for a few dollars, a book, or enlist you on a course that will bestow upon you, d i v i n e w isdom in a relatively short time. However, unless one has the tools given him at birth, on taking advan- tage of these offers through literature, heisdoomed to disappointment. However, one gets more satisfac- tion working on a horoscope than on a c r o s s w o r d puZzle. At best, one is w o r k i n g on the matter of something sacred - a human bei-ng. These m a g a z i nes mentioned take the whole sign and the positions of the planets, whiçchisnotquite so complete as taking in the individual horoscope, and since astrologers ofold have taken the time of the new moon, as a time of start ing new projects, and the full moon as the time of completion, those born for example, around the 19th of september, down to June 11, 1972, wil I have a new moon on their birthdays, whilst those one or two days prior to these dates, might find the former pat- ternof their 1ives are due to be chan- ged. The new moon of September l9th, will bevery important to those born on thatdate, as thesun rules thewill, and the moon rules the feelings; being to- gether, there is little difficulty making up one's mind, as those born on the day of the new moon have as a theme song, "I Want What 1 Want When I Want It. " On this date, Saturn, the planet of r e s t r iction turns retrograde, whi le J up i t er (expansion) is conjunct wi th Neptune, the dreamer, so Virgo, the sign of the workers, will demand ac- tion with reference to economic mat- ters. With reference to birth at the new moon, Canada became a nation July 1, 1867, and thiswas the day prior to the ne w m o on , so this may expl ain why Canada has littie vision of her own, andmust need to depend on the United States for a lead. However, financial matters in the l ives of Virgo people will be stimul- a ted by Venus and U r an us being in their second house (money & resour- ces), while Jupiter and Neptune will be in their third of mind, trips and messages will make them more optimistic, andsinceinNovember greater emphasis will be placed in thei r 4th house of home and parents, one can expectchangesin these matters, even though the square of these planets to Virgo may cal l for an effort on these parts. Virgopeople are routine workers, andbetter as second in command, ra- ther than leaders. As an employer, he is too easy going with his employees, and as he is constantly seeking per- fection, he sells his services far too cheaply. As an employee, his superior can spot him a mile away and loads on thework, while Virgo has to fight for his monev. V i r go, on the whole, is usually very psychic, especially in the early d e g r e es of the sign, and he is very often connected with sickness and ser- vice. Most writers of astrology say that Virgo likes to be sick, but nothing is further from the truth, as Virgo will often go to work when he is sick, ra- ther than the boss wiIll if just to find out how he can do without him. However, Virgos are fortunate in the sense that they are connected with the six p r i m ary forces of nature, the sign of magic, and can usually do anything they set their minds on, and this is one reason why they make ex- cellent research workers. While Virgo is the sign of the "vir- gin", some of them shut themsel ves up in their ivory tov rs, which in 1ater years, becomes a prison cell. Page 12, Thursday,
