The purpose of this contest was to obtain an orginal design for this year's company mailing cards. The forty-one entrants drew or pain- ted their colorful efforts of Christmas cheer on awide variety of cards ranging from lined paper to bristol board.. The two judges, Mr. Paul Bennett, director of the McLaughlin Art Gallery and Mr. Ernie Dukes of R. E. J. Prom- ot ions had a difficult time sorting and c h oo sing9 from the sixt'-two designs submitted , and final ly settled on the w inne rs. Prize winners Station The $50 first prize went to l0-year- o Id Ja c queine Bugeja of- Wei1ington Street, Whitby. Debby BIlucher won the $30 second pri ze, and the third prize of $15 went to Michael Jessup. Geral d Bowman, Tracy Heffernan and Lighton Appoprade received honourable mention. Whi tby Arts lncorporated'has off ered i ts "lstation" to display ali entries on Decemberl16th. Thel16th wiî11 be aspecial evening for the children of the contest and their parents.
