This bevy of local beauties made a difficult job for the judge's final choice in the County Town Carnival queen contest in 1969. The stage i s set, the prizes lined up and the carnival weekend is near- ing, bu t County Town Carnival Queen 1972,where are you? Deadline day, July 22, is only nine days away for enter ing the contest which is open to all single Whitby girls aged 16 to 20. The contestcommitteehas been par- ticularlybusythis year, and has roun- ded u p an impressive lineup of prizes from local businesses. Prizes include a portable television set, compliments of the 'Vorks Department of the Canad- ian Union of Public Employees, a nylon garment fromDu PontofiCanada, ponty- hose, sample cartons from Stokely Van C amp a n d c o smetics from Elizabeth Arden.
