Mr. Hewson, who was questioned about his im- pressions on the civic scene by the Whitby Free Press, assesses the situation as a culmina- tion in "the hottest elec- tion Whitby has - or wilI - witness for many a year. " "Unless 1 aln mis- taken, the citizens of this town are very unhappy with the- present coun- cil," he elaborated. This, he says, "has really corne to light over the Iast eight to ten -month period, primarily, becauise of the miunici- pal complex debacle."
