Built by Customizer George Barris ini co - operation witlî Promotions Inc., and Monogram Models, BATHTUB BUGGY includes aIl of the essentials and many of the luxuiries found in a bathroom. In front is a lavatory. Amidships is a vanity doubling as driver's seat. In the rear is a real bathtub. Connecting it ail lis tbe craziest set of brass- plated plumbing that ever made an automobile run as run this one does, powered by it's 289 Ford engine. The lavatory anîd bathtub are finisbed in a white pearl with candy gold leaf lace impressions, candy gold highlights, baud - striping ini a co - ordinatè 'd colour. Alil faucets, bot and cold taps, and the sbower head are of Grecian motif, in 24 karat gold. The driver's compartment features such items as a lighted theatrical make - up mirror, a vanity table covered in a gold metaîflake vinyl and containing a stereo tarie deck, a boudoir - type bench with upholstered toilet seat beadrest mounted on a rol- bar (whicb looks like plunibing). The flooring is wbite and gold vinyl and a combina tion of golden carpeting. For added comfort, two footrests are fasbioned from brass - plated toilet rolîs. This car is one of many to be displayed at the Oshawa Autofest car show, September 19 - 20, at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. DRAGS 64Kinky- Drags '73" is one of the new events on this year's Oshawa Autofest schedule. This motoring event is si- ated for Sturday, Sept. lStb at the Oshawa Centre (south east corner) and will be or- ganized by the Oshawa MIotor Sport Club ic. Basically a slalom around plastic pylons, the driver mu- st pit bis driving skill and his car's manoeuverability ag- ainst the dlock and another competitor running an iden- tical course simultaneoLlsly. The driver who completes the course in the least time with the minimum of penal- ties returns to run off against other winners in round robin fashion until one winner in each class is determined.
