Lindsay opened flie scoring af 2: 10 of the first poriod on a goal by Jini Lytle, assisted by Phil Murfha. At the 12:24 mark of the samne period Phil Murtha put Lindsay ahead by 2 goals f0 zip. The end of the second period found Lindsay stilî ahead by a score of 2 f0 0, but in the 3rd the C.B.C. boys were not f0 be denied when af 3:24 Mike Rowley put them on the score board with a power play goal,.assisted by Larry Graham and Dan Jordan. The competition, held February I 7th at Osh- awa's Children's Arena, was attended by clubs froin Ajax, Port Perry,, Whitby and Osh- awa. Nine girls participated fr- om the Whitby club, and five of themn came home with medals. Jane St uarf of Brook- lin won a gold medal in the interpretive class. The silver medal for the same category was won by Soroya Higgie of WhifbyX, and three of the Whitby team, Christine Pehoe, Linda Pehoe (Brooklin), and Sue Anne Reid (Oshawa) won bronze medals, also for inter- pretive skating. The shut out was shared bygoaltenclers David Holding and Scott Stoneman., John Fusço and Bobby Middleton led the Concrete's with three goals each with single markers going to John Ellis, Billy Eastdale, Billy Eyre, a nd David Blacquiere. BROOKLIN WHITBY RIDER TOOL MANUFACTUR.- ING NOVICES played Port Hope and downed them to the tune of 7 - 0. Paul Neuman, although..he didn't score, played a really strong game to lead his team mates to the win. Tommy Ward and Steve Gibson were able to hold off the Port Hope teami to earn the shut-out. Gary Roberts was the big shooter for the Toolers as he popped in four' goals. Les Sinden, Bryan Pratt and Gordon Van Kassel picked up siiigles. BROOKLIN WHITBY MINOR PEE WEE MITCHELL, BROTHER BUILDING SUPPLIES were eleminated from play-offs when they were beaten by the Bay Ridges club by two games straight. David Northam scored the only marker in the 4 - 1 loss. In the 7 - 4 loss, Mark Underwood got two with Charlie Meitner and Dari Blacquiere picking up singles. BROOKLIN WI-ITBY MINOR ATOMS WHITBY CY- CLE AND SPORTS played four games losing two. They lost a 2 - I gamne to Bay Ridges with Paul Van Der Kloff scoring the only goal. In the second gaine they played the Oshawa Eastview Pharmacy AIl Stars and went down 4 - 1 with Derek Kotyluk getting the lone B.W. goal. They won flhe first game 4 - I with Charlie Mason leading the way with t wo goals with tearn mates Ronnie Maquire,- and Danny Garrard getting singles. In the second game, they whitewashed them by a 7 - 0 score. Paul Rich and Jeff Donaldson picking up tow goals each with Dcrek Kotyluk, Ker Kingston, and Jeff Gibson replying with singles. BROOKLIN WHITBY MAJOR PEE WEE LAKE ON- TARIO STEEL were eliminafed by a strong Cobourg club which went four games to decide a winner. The third, was forced info overtime and stilî ended in a 1 - 1 tie with Gilbert, Nieuwendyk getting the Steelers goal. A fourth, game was necessary resulfing in the Steelers going down to a 4 - 2 score. John Paul Agget and Keifli Wilson got the only two B.W. goals. The first gaine B.W. camne through with a 10 - 8 win with Gien Johnson leading the way with three, Joey Mcîntyre came through with two, and singles going to Dan Gallogley, Mark Millar, Todd Casey, Gary Bruce and Mark Howe, Millar also. p icked up three assists.- The second game ended in a *9 - 8 win for B.W. in another see- saw battle from one end to the other with Todd Casey leading with four big ones for B.W.
