After the resaîts of a survey taken on Friday, Feb. 22nd, 1974 by the Free Press, I've decided to buy my meat at Sunnybrook and other food at Dominion. This way 1 Will save S,4.95 weekly. The shock of the week was on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, at the Dominion store on Hwy. 2 - GROUND CHUCK - $1.77 Lb.! Sunnybrook may not have bright, neatly organized aisies and a terrific selection. Their cuts of beef may not bear I A&P 1I SUNI the quality of the other stores but one thing they do have is CHEAP MEAT! The chick- en, hamburger, liver and pork chops -etc. taste fine to me - and for a savings of bet- ween 30 cents and 78 cents per pound, l'Il pass up the frilîs. As far as the cuts of beef go; who can afford them your own mind. The featured artists at this Centennial Concert will be the Canadian duo-pianists, Evelyn and Reginaîd Bedford of Hamilton, who have per- formed, together for more than 25 years. The Bedford, concert be- gins at 8 p.m. in the concert hall of the college, 401 Rey- nolds St. Tickets are avail- able at the Thomas House of Music in Whitby; Wilson and Lee Music Store; Oshawa, and at the college. The public is invited to attend. Evelyn and Reginald Bed- ford merged their talents at an early age and have gained wide recognition in their cou- ntry for the distinctive qual- ity of their music. It was on the advice of Harold Samuel, eminent En- glish Bach specialist, that the specialization. in two-piano ensemble was decided on, although each was well known as a soloist. Evelyn Bedford is known for ber concerts and coast-to- coast radio broadcasts, and Reginald Bedford bas served as head of the piano depart- ment at the Halifax Conser- vatory; organist and choir master of Ail Saints' Cath- edral, Halifax ;and Music Fes- tival adjudicator and exam- iner for the Royal Conserva- tory of Music of Toronto. Mr. Bedford is now on the faculty of McMaster Un- iversity in Hamilton and tea- ches senior music at the On- tario Ladies' College. The Bedfords appeared in New York for the first time on Oct. 31, 1949, playing. a.t the Town Hall. Works by Hand'el, Bach, Chopin, Ravel,, Tailleferre; and Rachmaninoff will be' included in the Ontario Lad- ies' College concert.
