The members of Local 2-242 of the International Wood Workers of America accepted the contract at a ratification meeting Friday. The new contract includes a 33 cent cost of living clause wage increases of $1.47 to $1.62 per hour, and an in- crease in holidays to 12 per year. Estimates are that this package will cost Consolid- ated-Bathurst over 3/4 mill- ion dollars yearly in addition to the present payroll.
