The Barrie Flyers defeated Whitby MacDonalds 6-3 on the weekend to tighten their grip on first place in the Ontario Hockey Association Senior 'A' Series.. Grant Moore led the Flyers with three goals be- fore only 730 spectators in Barrie. Because of poor attendance ail season, the Flyers are contemplating moving their home games to Colingwood. Other Flyer goals were scored by Paul Regan, Bill Abbott and Phil Branston. Bill Little, Gord McGosh and Bob Munro replied for the Macs who were outshot 39-34. The hosts scored three quick goals on Deninis Gibson before he was replaced by Bruce Durno at 16:47 of the first period. Whitby tallied once to make the score 3-1 at the end of the opening stanza. The Macs scored twice in the middle frame to knot the score at 3 but the Flyers, with three unanswered third- period goals, won the game handily. The loss was a costly one for Whitby as Mike Keenan suffered a separated shoulder and broken collarbone in the ganie.. Whitby hosts Cambridge tomorrow night and travel to Cambridge on Saturday.
