Since Christmas, the Lucky Strikes have the hottest team, and the first haîf leaders, the somebodies have been the coolest. Ivan Booth has solidified his hold on ail the individual categorîes for the guys and Aline McDermid, and Isobel Mason continue to be the most prominent of the gils. With only ,10 points separating the first six teams,,tEe final order of finish is anybody's guess. There is only one sure thing, the Hot Dogs and the Headpins wil finish one- two at the bottom. Another Big Nigit at Iroquois Park The Macs' are on the move. They have won 9 of their last 12 games. This means that they are now playing 500 hockey, and are a solid third, challenging Brantford for second place. Along with this upsurge, fan interest has pieked up tremendously. Over 1,300 fans jammed Iroquois Park last Thursday to sec the Macs defeat Orillia 4-1. The 1,300 were also treated to the sweet music of tEe Lady Godiva Mernorial Band, and witnessed two exciting contests. Representatives of the Students' Councils' of four area higE schools, Ajax, Anderson, Henry and Dennis O'Connor, participated in a skate and shoot contest with Ken Killen of Ajax winning over Peter Siieppard (OConnor), Kim Mos- kaluk (Henry), and Debbie Leslie (Anderson). In the shooting contest, Sister Mildred Moyle, Principal of Dennis O'Connor, beat Mike Peleschak, Principal .0f Anderson, and Dave Williamns, a teacher from Henry HigE. Tomorrow night tEe Macs' play Brantford in a four- pointer. lt's kids night, so Dad why not take junior down to Iroquois and join in the fun. Central Park Developrnent The plans for Central Park are on display in tEe Munic'i- pal Building, and will also be included in the next Associa- tion newsletter.
