Several areas of concerfi were noted including the res- idential nmailing to retired persons and those who do flot work in a local organizatiofi where an employee campaign is conducted. This section of the-campaign depends almost entirely on the mails. It is under the chairmanship of Mrs. Altamae Eberlee. Another area of concern was the section called Special Names chiaired by Dick Conlin in Oshawa and Larry Windover in Whitby. A third section is the appeal to the out-of-town head offices of firms who operate businesses in Oshawa. Many local firms and pro. fessional people also use the mail to send in donations after a preliminary conitact by a canvasser. Chairrnen of the variou: sections involved are workinf out special plans to get around this mail problein. Anyone who has flot yet sent in their contribution is asked to do one of these things: Bring the donation t.o the United Way office at 52 Simcoe St. Southi, Oshawa Scottish ail strike (across from the Post Office); take the donation to any chartered bank in Oshawa and Whitby and they will see that we get it; or if either of these arrangements is flot con- venient, please calI the United Way office at 728-0203 and ask for a pick-up.
