PAGE 6, WEDNESDAY. JANUARY 14.-1976. WIIITBY FREE PRESS Br®lin, Well, things are looking up, and despite the weather, activities arestarting to get off the ground. Mind you, if you don't start to participate in some of them it could be a different story in a few weeks time. The activities l'm referring to are those that are held for pre-schoolers. And in Brooklin we are fortunate to have quite a choice for the discerning toddler. l'Il start, with the Library programme. Yes, Virginia, there is a preschooler and mothers programme held at the Brooklin Library everY Tuesday afterrioon between 1: 30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. While you are being entertained with activities to suit your age group, your mother is able to meet discussions, or just watch some delightful demonstrations Why not ask Mom to wrap you up and take you over there, next Tuesday? The Librarians will be very.pleased to sec you- and tell Mom that it is free of charge! Enjoy yourself! If you are a morning person then to Y.M.C.A. it should be your c hoice. And they offer you and your Momn three different activities. On Wednesday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. you can both enjoy yourselves at Ladies Take-a.Break. Mom can jô'in other Mothers and exercise, have a coul toc, and tiien pertake in a discussion or demionstratioîî cg. quilting, l'irst aid, terrarims - organized by Che lady in charge. During this ime you can meet your triends and play, sing songs - or just nap if' you feel so inclîned. The babysitters are great and don't mmnd if you are 5 wks. or 5 yrs. old! On Fridays there is Let's Create - again held between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. But this ime you have to be at least 2 yrs. of age - it's a more mature programme. You and Morn enjoy yourselves together for the first hour. Then Momn goes and has coffee with the other Moms and you and your friends have juice. After that you listen tu stories. Mom is al so reading andi discussing under the able guidance of Mrs. Daphne Kohis. The book this session is called "The Magic Years" which can be had for the nomnical fee of $3. Both these activities take place at the United Church Hall, Brooklin. And if you think you would enjoy attending, ask Mom to take you along. She'll enjoy it too - and you'll both make some new friends. If you really want to go it alune, then ask Mom to register you for Co-op school held Monday to Friday, every morning at Meadowcrest School. 1 think you'l have to suffer Mom heing there occasionally, but most of the Urne you'll be able to do your own thing without lier looking over your shoulder. Ask her to cal the 'Y' for fur4 ,her information. So as you see Virginia, Fred, Billy and Mary Jane, there is plenty to keep you occupied these winter mornings or afternoons. So lets sec you leading the way and participating in our comnmunity. And if any of you sports fiends have been over at the Arena then caîl and let me know how its going over there.
