Whitby will be represented at the art mart by Paul Bruce, of the craft workshop, with pottery , and macramne; Paul Williams with leather work; Bey Wlliams with weaving; and Jan Melnik with jewellery. The recreation departmient lias established a cornmuniity events calendar, and will enter in its calendar al] comrnunity events phoned in to the recrea- tion department number, 668-5803. The community events calendar can serve the groups by offering publicity and also they can find out if there are any other events scheduled which rnight conflict with the events they are planning. The Whitby- Theatre Company plans to present a season of plays which pro- mises sonîething for every- body. The first production of current season will be a murder mystery entitled, Night Must Fali, by Emlyn Williams, a top British playwrighit. Jiîn Cheyne is directing this production. Mr. Cheyne is well-known to Oshawa theatre-goers. He has appeared in a number of Oshawa productions; Notably "Camelot", and "Abelard and Heloise", in which he played the leading roles. Mr. Cheyne. and his wife, Gail also appeared in the lead roles, of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", at Herongate Barn Theatre last. season. "Night Must Fail" is one of those suspense drama's where you know who the murderer is but you are kepti on the edge of your seat, wondering who the next victim will be.
