Hie was here to talk to people of every religious denomnination about the meaning of being1 a true Christian". Mr. Duerden describes Dr. Paisley as "a dyniamie speaker--a person who believ- ed in what hie was saying and had a special way of -presenting what he was saying". Mr. Kirkîand describes the Irish minister and member of Parliament as "a friendly outgoing man who means business for God. He's pictured as a rabble rouser and a Catholie hater", said Mr. Kirkland, but hie goes into Catholic homes as well as protestant homnes to console relatives of victims of lreland's civil strife. "I say it's not a religious probleru", says Mr. Kirkland. "It's a political problemn with Cominunism at the base of it". However, politics played no part in Dr. Paisley's speech before the TV camera in Whitby, as he talked about the Gospel, and John the Baptist. The Fundamental Baptist Church, of whichMr. Kirkland is pastor, meets at 309 Beecli Street in a converted office building, and will be holding Sunday School classes at Henry Street High School this faîl.
