Senior 'A' Hockey league on the weekend by defeating the Mississauga Golden Arrows 11-5 Saturday in Mississauga, and then dumping the Lindsay Lancers 7-5 on Sunday at home in Iroquois Park Arena. Mike Noonan led the way against Mississauga with a hat trick; Rick Kessel added two more and Gord M4cCosh ha d a big scoring night with a] goal and four assists. Single goals went to Mike Keenan, Greg Bodnar, Peter Vipond, Ken Desjardine, and Bob Edmonds. In that garne, Whitby out- shot Mississauga 55-35, with Dave Hulme in goal for the Warriors. On Sunday night, before a Minor Hockey Niglit crowd of 850, the Warriors hiad single goals fromn seven different players in their 7-5 win. Mike Noonan opened the scoring at 3:41 of the first period, but Lindsay tied it by the end of the first. The lead changed back and forth in the second; it was tied 4-4 until Gord McCosh put Whitby ahead to stay at 19:58 with a slapshot from the left point. Ken Desjardine and Paul Raymer scored for Whitby in the thîrd to assure the victory. Other Warrior goals wvent to Peter Vipond, Greg Bodnar and Charlie Convery. Former Whitby junior player Don Nicholson had an excel- lent night for the Lancers, getting their first three goals. Mike Rvckman, who, with Hulme, is leading the Senior league in goals against, playedC the entire game in the E Whitby net.' In the first game Brian Hatter scored the lone Whitby goal. In Major Bantam play, Bay Ridges defeated Whitby 5-3 in the first game and Whitby defeated Ajax 7-3 in the third game.
