CHILD SAFETY The Canada Safety Council has proclaimed the first week in May to be Child Safety Week. In observance, the Whitby Block Parents have asked Ron Hawkins of the St. Johns' Ambulance to pre- pare a lecture and dernonstra- tion on "Emergency First Aid". The public is invited ta, attend this program which will be held on May 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Consumers' Gas Blue Flame Roomn in Whitby. Refreshments will be served and admission is free. Mr. Hawkins will inform residents of what to do and what flot to do in emergency situations such as poison consumption, shock, brokei bones and other injuries until professional help arrives.
