A number of vines were planted along the walis of the school, sod laid on bare patches of-the lawn, and al glass, paper and other garbage raked Up and disposed of. The Town of. Whitby assistcd the school by sending its street sweeper to dlean the parking lot. Two Whitby'players get hockey seholarships Two Whitby boys have recéived scholarships to attend the Biades Summer Hockey School, under the direction of Mike Keenan, playing coach of the Whitby Warriors. The hockey schiool is ini the process of- offering hockey scholarships to boys in Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby, Ajax and Oshawa, which entities thein to one session at the school's expense. The scholarships are awarded to boys selected by their hockey associations because of the contributions they have mnade to hockey through leadership and effort to attain a high level of hockey proficiency, says Mr. Keenan.
