Game was called with score 24 Although the game had to be called at the bottom of the seventh, it really was all over at the end of the fourth in an E.O.B.A. bantam game played at Fairman field last week. The Whitby club came up with a whopping fourteen runs in the fourth inning to go in front 24-1 and the game was out of sight for the Port Hope visitors. Whitby opened the scoring in their half of the first when a five run àplurge, added three in the second and a pair in the third before they really unloaded on the Port Hope pitching to put the game away. The local club has had some big wins in the mid season going on the E.O.B.A. circuit but this was their most produc- tive output of the year. They got their 29 runs off 14 hits, capitalizing on Port Hope errors and walks to add to their winning margin. Mike Welling who has been coming through with some effective work on the mound for Whitby was once again the winner and had an easy night sitting on the cushion his mates provided for him.
