Fern Munns thanked 'the speaker and Marg Davis pro- ceeded to announce the prize winners of the evening. Gibb Marlow received the award for Best Specimen for his Miniature Glads and Doris Marlow for Best Decorative Mary Housego was awarded the prize for Best Novice Class Arrangement. Judges Beth Frost and Edna Love were to be commended on what must have been a lot of decision making on such 'a large number' of entries. Marg Davis then expressed her appreciation for the large attendance at what was obviously a very successfiil show. Marie MacDonald dies on Aug. 26 Marie Ann (Hill) MacDonald, a resident of Whitby for 10 years, died Aug. 26 at tie age of 48 in the City Hospital, Sydney, Nova Scoti a. Daughter of John Alex- ander Hilts, Mrs. MacDonald was bon May 24, 1929 at Toronto and attended the, Eastern High School of Commerce. Until three years, ago she was a bookkeeper for Hughs Roof Truss Co. in Ajax, and six months ago left Whitby for Sydney.' Mrs. MacDonald was an adherent of the United Church of Canada, and was a former memiber of the Ajax Kinettes. Mrs.- MacDon ald's first hiusband John Grant Hill died ini 1969 and she is survived by her second husband, Allan MacDonald whiom she married in 1974. Shie is also survived by two sons, John David Hill of Bowmanvillc and William Kevin Hill of Ajax; one brothier John Edwin Hilts and two sisters-, Mrs. Johni Gilroy (Delores) and Mrs. Hugli MacXlenzie (Anmi), î11of' Toronto. Mrs. MacDonald is survived by threc grand. children. The funeral was hield at Sydney Nova Scolla, and a coimiittal service wvas hceld at Hliglknd Mcniory Gardens, Don Mills.
