Cc SENIORS' ART Paintings and crafts by members of the Whitby Seniors Activity Centre are on display at the Whitby Arts Station Gallery until Oct. 23. The majerity cf clients were registered in the following occupations: clerical, services, product fabricating, assembl- ing and repairs, construction, material handling and related. Shortages cf qualified clientsexisted in the following areas: school psychologist, civil design engineer, technical planning services superviser, computer programmer, ma- chinist, licenced mechanics, salespersens in insurance and real estate, waitresses and waiters. Under the Canada Man- power Industrial Training Pro- gram, 22 agreements were signed during the month. Clients receiving academic upgrading at Durham College at the end cf August totalled 47, while 104 clients were taking varios skill courses. The Canada Manpower Empîcyrnent Centres for Students have completed operations and have closed for this year. Students wish- mng part-time employment during the school year are advised to register with their regular Canada Empîcyment Centre.
