Compromise reached The compromise reached between the town and surrounding residents, re- garding future zoning of the 300 High Street Property re- ceived council approval last week. The 24-unit apartment project will have a special zoning designation preventing redevelopment of the site for other uses. This special zoning clears the way for registration of the project as a condo- IuItiumin evelopient. The zoning adopted by council will prevent the building being replaced by any structure of more than 24 units, and sets strict controls on maintenance of the prop- erty. Residents near the building had expressed concern about what would happen to the property in the future if a condominium agreement was approved.
