FATAL ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED Durhami Regional Police have released the details about this fatal accident which was pictured on the front page of the Free Press last week. Tie accident occurred at 2,30 pm, Oct, il at the intersection of Thickson and Winchester roads where there is a flashing red light. Police said that John James Gazdik, 57, of 1151 Cedar Street, Oshiawa, wvas driving a haif-tonl truck west on Winchester Road when he collided with a sotithbotind gravel truck on Thickson Road. Mr. Mitchell, however, has expressed concern that the safety 'of residents is also endangered by cars parked on the main streets and courts, which prevent moter- ists fromn spetting young children. "There is a large number of vehicles parked on streets in WEst Lynde, and this is net necessary as we ail have driveways and rnost cf us have garages," said Mr. Mitchell. In the October issue of the cemmunity association's newsletter is a questionnaire asking resident if they want the speed limit reduced to 20 miles per hour on ail streets in the subdivision or on Michael Boulevard only.
