LIN 2M8 1Victor Scott, of 203 Lee Ave. died Nov. 29 at the Oshawa General Hospital, fol- lowing a lengthy illness. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Scott, Mr. Scott was a stationary engineer with Fittings Ltd. in Oshawa, and had been retired for three years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Whitby, and Knights of Columbus Council No. 4895. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, the former Janet Lawrence; one son, Gerald of Whitby; one daughter,Mrs. Ken Salonius (Patricia) of Oshawa; and one grandchild, Mark Salonius. He is also survived bythree brothers, Walter of Vancouver B. C., William, of Halifax N. S. and Donald of Weston Ont.; and three sisters, Mrs. E. McDonald (Irene) of Toronto, Mrs. T. Lawrence (Louise) of Gaspç, Quebec, and Sister Electra Scott of 3 at St. John the Evangelist Church, followed by inter- ment in St. John's Roman Catholic CenlPtntry, Wýhtby. Victor Richard Beckly, 304 Coîborne Street East, died of a heart attack at his residence Nov. 27 at the age of 80. The son of Richard and Jane Beckly, Mr. Beckly was bom at Straton, England, June 13, 1897. He was a farmner in the Ashbumn area and had been retired for 10 years. Mr. Beckly was prede- ceased by his first Wife, Olive Trigg in 1964. I-is second wife, Mrs. Gwen (Fretter) Beckly, of Kelowna B.C., whomn he married in 1968, survives hlm. Mr. Beckly is also survived by orne brother, Leonard, of Whitby. Two brothers, Herbert and Edgar, prede- ceased him. The funeral was conducted, by Rev. J. A. Roney of AIl Saints' Anglican Church at the W. C.
