MINOR PEE WEE In the first game of five i the play-off series, Feb. 12ea Brooklin Arena, the Ladies' Auxiliary team defeated Bay Ridges 6-2 with three goals by Gary Roberts and one each by Joey McCullough, Joey Nieuwendyk and Dave Sachko. MINOR BANTAM Feb. 9 at Ajax, the Opti- miîst Beavers tied -Ajax 4-4 with two goals by Derek Kotyluk anhd one each b y Je ff Donaldson and Charlie Mason. In the first game of five in the play-ôffs, Feb. 12 at Ajax, the Beavers ,tied Ajax 2-2 with both goals scored by Derek Kotyluk. Skate-race program On Sunday, February 26, at Iroquois Park Arena, skate races will be held 'for girls and boys from Grade 1 to Grade 8 as'part of Whtby's fifth annual Winter Carnival. <The Carnival Committee would like to have 3 or 4 girls and 3 or 4 boys from each grade, from each sehool to participate and request your co-operation in this event by appointing the appropriate participants. The children should be at, the arena approximately 20 mninutes before, the.scheduled skating time. The prelimninary skate races will occur February 26, at, 10 a.m. and the finals will 'follow the preliminaries on Sundayàt> 11:35 a.m. There will be an admission'charge of 75c for aduits and 50c for children to assist in defraying the cost of the ice and the awards for this, and ail events.
