Over the summer, residents will'visit and explore ail of the conservation areas within C.L.O.C.A,. and sée and iearn a variety of things reiated to conservation. The weekday, walks (MondaY, Wednesday, and Fr.iday) will leave the'Authority Office, 1650 Dundas Street East, Whitby (opposite Whitby Mail) at 6:-30 p.m. The Sunday waik will leave at 9:30 a.m. Ail walks wiil be held ramn or shine so please dress accordingly. "No smoking" signs gave been posted in the cliambers, and heavy smokers such as, Mayor Jim Gartshore will now have to refrain from the, habit. "'We find so much disre- gard for this building by people wbo smoke that we would be recarpeting this floor in two or three years," said the' Mayor. The smoking ban has'been in order for ail public build- ings for some' time, but council is cracking down on it now.
