Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. the tourna- ment finals will be held at Peel'Park. *July 29 and 30 froin 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. the Whitby and Garrard Road Minor Lacrosse Associations will be sponsoring a Tyke Invita- tional Tournament at Peel and Willow Parks. SCOTTISH CLUB The Canadian Scottish Club will again be offering "a fair with food, entertain- ment and the traditional tartan" at Whitney Hall in the Iroquois Park Arena during the County Town Carnival. The Scottisb Club Pavillon is open fromý6 p.m. to 1 a.m. JulY 27 and 28and 2p.m. toi1 a.m. July 29. July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 the pavilion will be open from 6:30 p.m. to i a.m. during the Chamber of Comnmerce Trade Fair, which is held on the are-,.a floor. Many of the rooms on the upper floor of the Lynde house are furnÎshed fully in original Victorian style, following a reorganization of the displays this spring. There will be rnany attrac- tions at the Lynde house this year which have not been displayed in past years. Power blackout on Saturday The Town of Whitby and parts of Oshawa experienced a powor blackout for about 45 minutes Saturday'morning. A Whitby PUC spokesman said tlïe blackout was caused by a fallen lino north of Ottawa on the main Hydre transmission rines te Oshawa. _NEW LIGHTS READY Tim O'Connell, an employee of the Region of Durham instails new traffic lights at the intersection of Brock and Dunlop Streets.
