Brookiin miii sold The Brooklin Mill, on cassels Road, which has been for sale for several years, was sold last week to Jim Hughes of Scarborough, a- spokesman for McQuay Real Estate said. Mr.Hughes, it is reported, will continue to operate the building as a flour and feed milI, and wiIl take possession of the 130-year-old building in September. Gail Hughes, incoming president of the Whitby Kinette'Club, holds one of this year's souvenir plates, which features a picture of the Whitby Junction Station, now the Whitby Arts Station Gallery. The station was built in 1903, and served as a passenger and freight station and telegraph office until 1969. The sale of the plates and accompanying mugs will provide funds for community service by the Kinette Club.
