Eventual winners of- the Finals on Monday Aug. 7th at Peel St. Park, were Oshawa Turul in the Mosquito division, St. Andrew's the PeeWee division,,Wexford in the Bantam division and Oshawa Par "4" Chargers the Junior division. Turul' beat Mississauga West Bears 2-0 on goals by Mike Hamel and Peter Ersil. St. Andrew's blanked Oshawa Raângers 2-0 on goals by R. Stipetie and J. Murphy (1) and Frank Harris. Lions lône scôrer S. 'Banjamin. Oshawa Par "4" Chargers held on to beat North York Spartans 1-0 on a goal by E. Sciciliano. The Junior Trophy was presented to Oshawa bythe County Town Carnival Queen Kathy McGreevy, while George Heath the County Town Carnival Chairman presented- the Bantam and PeeWee Trophies to Wexford and St. Andrew's. The President of Whitby Minor Soccer Association, Rein Verrydt presented the Legion Trophy to Oshawa Turul in the Mosquito Division. Thirty-two teams took part. in the Tournament over the three days, with Mississauga and Oshawa Turul winnîng the Mosquito preliminary rounds with Oshawa Rangers and Richmond Hill the runners-up, St. Andrew's and Wbitby winning the PeeWee preliminaries, with Chinguacousy and Osimwa Rangers' the runners-up., Wexford and Oshawa Lions took the Bantam rounds, with Oshawa Loreley and Whitby the runners-up. in the Junior rounds- North York'Spartans and Oshawa Par '4" won the, rounds, and Brantford and Whitby the runners-up. (1).- Whiýtby gi'rls soccer wifls Peel Region held their annual invitational girls soccer tournament in Brampton on August 12 & 13. Whitby sent their select Bantam girl's team & their select Pee Wee girl's teamn to represent the County Town in two of the four divisions. Each of these teams swept their division, winning al three games. With two week's notice the Whitby Soccer Associaion put together Bantam and Pee Wee teams with players chosen from eight different house league teams four Bantam and four Pee Wee. Saturday morning saw the Pee Wee girls with Dave McAnenay and Warren Curry coaching»up against the "Brampton Business Machines'". The Whitby girls came out on top with a score of 5 to 0. Scoring for Whitby were Sheila, Verrydt with 2 goal S, Catherine Dooley 2 goals and Beth Jubenville with one goal. S'aturday afternoon's contest saw the Whitby Pee Wees down Rexdale 2 to 0. Scoring for Whitby in this game were Beth Jubenville and Lynda Sacchett. Sunday afternoon, Whitby met the tearn from Clarkson. Ontario in the final contest of the tournamnent. The score in this game was 3 to 0 for Whitby with Beth Jubenvîlle, Lynda Sacchett and Karen Crouse each scoring a goal. Whitby's Pee Wee team played an outstanding defen- sive, game with Audrey Huninih in goal, Christine Mulcahy and Pat Hayden on the defensive line. Starring at centre-haîf was Jodi Rowley. Also outstanding were Angela Worona Diane Limd. Pam Hayden, Theresa Dooley and Kamal Curry. Whitby Bantams team also won ail three games, with Vic Agnew coaching.
