The score was already decided by haif time, and Bantam goal tender Warren Subject "brought . up" for this game earned the shut- out. The score does not reflect the control Whitby had in this game, but bad finishing off (which has piagued Ferrco this season) and some brilliant goal keeping by the Ajax net- minder kept the score down. Both Whitby goals were scored by the seven minute mark but despite very good mid-field work and good positional soccer by Whitby, that was how the scor remained tili full time. PEE WEE PEE-WEE SWhitby Pee-Wee Legion Ail Stars competed in the Annual Toronto Star C.N.E. Tournament on Aug. 23 and came up against Queensway. In the first Enning Whliby loaded the bases and Jeff Hanley came up to bat to hit the Tournament's first Grand Slam home run to give the Whitby squad a four to nothing lead. In the second game in Bowmanville Whitby came from behind and trailing most of the game by a 6-3 score had a big fifth inning comning up with 5 runs and finally winining the game with a 9 to 7 score. Star of the game was catcher Scott Burnett with 3 rbi's and piaying a strong defensive game. Winning pitcher was Jeff Hughes.
