Some 65 Whitby high school students have offered their services, but only a bout 32 volunteers will be chosen to' work in the medical-geniatrie wards, talk t o patients and help the nursing and support staff. Last Saturday a vehicle was stolen-from the Garrow Auto Used Car Lot 401 Dundas Street East. On Sunday a service station fell prey to the "Éticky finger" crowd. A person driving a. vehicle went onto the premisie of the B.P. Service Station at Thickson Road and Dunda Street East. Ther person purchased a fan belt for the vehicle and drove of without paying for the fan belt, police said. On Sunday Curtis Brown of 218 Lee Avenue, Whitby reported thef t of an eight track tape player along with 35 eight track tapes and a tape case. Value of the goods stolen is $350, a Police spokesman said. Last Thursday dogs rpinning at large attacked a flock of sheep in the barn- yard at Brooklin.
