My father was Building and Maintenance Supervisor for the Board of Education; My children have attended four area schools encompassing a primary, senior'public, high sehool and vocational school. I have' been involved in dev eloping two separate parents' groups, done volun- teer remedial teaching and served on, the Regional Paren4s Advisory Board. I arn a lawyer, practicising in Whitby. I was President of The 'Durham Law Associ- ation in 1975-1976. Formerly, I was Executive Assistant to a Federal Minister of Labour. Elementary and Secondary Sehools. - Retired in 1976-59 years of age. - Three years' active service in the RCAF in World War Il -Active In Church work- member of- Rotary Club, Past Master of Masonic Lodge, Vice-Chairman of Comniunity Care. These mernberships and contacts with people are important in obtaining public opinion regarding Educational Prob- lems. - Being retired I have both the time and sincere interest in making a comrnittment. For the past two years I have spent an average of 60-70 hours a month on committee work and in preparation for meetings.
