The meeting opened with President John Jefferies -welcoming guests as well as new members. He then intro- duced Edna Love who, after a short talk on the do's and don't's of pine cone craft, held a workshop for those interested (and there were many) and ber encourage- ment and enthusiasm proved to be contagious indeed. Mrs. Love gave individual instruction where necessary and presented some of her own finished articles in the form of wreaths, trees and sprays. which motivated even the amateurs to demon- strate their talents. The motor was taken from the yacht owned by Henry Metzner, Scarborough, and moored at the Whitby Yacht Club. .Harold Coehler of 233 Meadow Road, Whitby, was entertaining at the Carillon Hotel Oshawa.
