Historie ai Whitby a HEBRON CTLLRCH (Part One) This week we depart from our current series on Whitby industries to take note of the 25th anniversary of the Hebron Christian Reformed Church Iocated at 30 ElizÉabeth Crescent. This church was founded on Feb'. 13, 1954 by the emerging community of Dutch immigrants in Whitby, and in the past 25 years two sister churches have been established in Oshawa and Port Perry.1 Through the courtesy of Fred Wind, chairman 0f the Church's anniversary committee, we were supplied with a history of the Hebron Christian Reformed Church in Whitby, which we print in our "Historical Whitby Column,", this week. This would be done the very next Sunday. The organization of a Sunday School was discussed and three teachers, Inez Benschop, Ali Flini and Femmy Pols were appointed. It's time once again to take entrants for the Miss Brookl in Spring Fair Pageant to be held the first weekend in June at the Fair. Unfortunately the mee ting was not well attended. I have learned fromn my attendance at the general meetings that there is much more involved in presenting the Fair than I ever expected, and manpower is definately lacking.
