ROYAL BANK One year ago the 2nd Whitby Resolute Ranger formulated a plan to visit the Girl Guide centre (Our Chalet) in Switzenland, The plan was to raise as much money as they could through fund raising events such as bottie drives, bake and rummage sales, car washes and delivering bis by hand while the postal strike was on. For two weeks of each month of the summer, every- one took turns as often as they could, walking mile after mile. They were footsore but with à dreamn in mnd, ýTheparens held a carci party and 'twoý dances to assist with funds. On Sunday, March il the Ranger crew boarded their plane for Zurich en route to Fruitigen ,Switzerland, where they will stay for fifteen days. It is indeed a dreamn corne true. Ail this was achieved without any subsidies or grants. On behaîf of the parents of the thirteen Rangers involved, I would like to express our appreciation to the leaders in this under- taking, said leader Mrs. Lewis. Special thanks go to "Skip", Mrs. Barb LaRose and her entire family and friends, Guiders of the S.E.
