Development decision delayed The Administrative Corn- niitee of Council has delayed until at least 1980 a decision to develop the area around Rossland Road and Garden Street. The developer, Costain Limited, wants to develop 292 acres into a 1,074-unit subdivision which would. accommodate up to 8,000 people north of Rossland Road and east of Garden 'treet. .lhe committee decided that bcfore Costain Limited can procecd witb its'hold- ings, the town should con- duct a storm water manage- ment study of the area.. A spokesman for the deve- loper said it was tinreason- able for council to hold up the development of bis lands, which are part of Stud., Area Number 7 in the 01 cial Plan., because of draiîage study.
