July 30 at 7 pam. there wil be a bike decorating contest at the trade fair in Iroquois Park Arena. Aug. i :at 8:3 0 p.m. there will be a Disco dance, also at Iroquois Park Arena. Aug. 3,4,5 and 6 the YMCA Dunk the celebrity and the Whitby Tennis Club will hold a tennis tournamnent ail day. Aug. 3 it will be at Peel Park, and the other days at the new Iroquois Park tennis courts. Aug. 4 there will be a YMCA swimming regatta at 3 p.m. at the Kinsmen Park pool. The Whitby Optimist Club will have its popular Dunk the Celebrity game at Iroquois Park during the County Town Carnival. Dates for the dunking booth are Aug. 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Aug. , 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ail proceeds from this event go to youth work, the project. The Pyjama dance wilI be presented by the Whitby Pro- fessional Fire Fighters Asso- ciation- at the Brooklin Memorial Arena Aug. 4 star- ting at 8:30 p.m. -Unlike previous years there will be no pujama parade through the streets of Brooklin thi s year.
