.Brookli Byines FROM YOUR LIBRARYj The Brooklin Branch Library will be running a Smokey the Bear readlng club tlus summer in cooperation with the Ontario Forestry Association. The club has two purposes - to help prevent forest fires and to promiote good, readlng. The children who join must read five books on nature and conservation during July and August to- be, awarded a certifîcate at the end. There will be a special event planned for the end of August for the members of the Club. Monday July 30 through Friday August 3rd is County Town Carnival Week at the Library. Movies will be shown every afternoon from 2:30 to 3:30 parn, and refreshrnents wil be served. Corneand have, un! On Wednesday evenlng Augustist. at 7: 00 p.rn. a movie will beshown for older chlldren and teens. Please corne early as this la a two hour show. Registrations for the Bread-dough craftlng are now being taken. Two evening sessions for older 'children and'aduits on August 14 and l5th from 7:30 to 8:30 p.rn. Here la a great chance to make sorne unusual decorative items and learn a new craft. Registration fée l $1.00. There are sorne juvenile books on sale right now in the junor .library for twenty-five cents each.
