To achieve that goal, the Chevrolet engineering effort centred on: - A new compact V6 engine. - A new diesel-powered fui- size station wagon. - New more-aerodynamnic shapes. - New high-pressure, 'easy- roll radial tires." - New more-efficient power trains. The new V6, a 3.8 litre, engine, is standard for Caprice 'Çlassic, Impala, and Bel Air sedans and coupes, plus Camaro,Mot Carlo andý Malibu/Malibu Classic Unes. The new V6 replaces'the standard 4. 1 litre mn-lime six in Caprice Ciassic, -Impala, Bel Air, and -Camaro models.- It replaces the 3.3 litre ýV6 that was standard last year in the, Monte Carlo, Malibu and' Malibu Classic.' Chevrolet Monte Carlo, one of Canada's mostdistinctive mici-size cars, offers all-new optional high-intensity headlamp lighting, new grille and interior styling re- finements, along with on al-' new V6 turbocharged engine. Offered in two model lines - the distinctively-styled Sport Coupe and the- two-' door Landau Coupe - the Monte Carlo>s front end features a dramatic new appearance with attractive large segment egg-crate styled grille flanked by symmetrical side-by-side rectangular headiamps.
