In preparation for this they will be presenting a film and information seminar at the Whitby Public Library this Saturday, June 20, for all those between the ages of 6 and 16 who are t interested in entering the race. The top winner for the area will win a trip to Akron, Ohio where they will be able to watch the alI-American race and participa te in a Canadian event on the last day of competition. The Akron races will be held Thursday, August 13 through Sun- day, August 16. The Whitby races, to be held at the Town Hall on Rossland Road, will be broken down into two age groupe, 6-10 and Il- 6. The sanctioned races will be run under CSBRA rules and assisted by technical personnel fromn the association. Registration forms and more information are available at the Whitby Public Library or by calling 6661553. CWL meeting The next meeting of the Catholic Womnen's League of the Holy Farnily Parish will be held on June 17 at 7 p.m. in the St. Joseph's Room of St. John the Evangelist's Church, *Giffard Street. SPENCER COMMUN ITY CENTRE - SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM - 1981 Assisted by the Canada Youth Employment Program, Spencer Community Centre has arranged a summer recreation program to benefit everyone. There will be a junior program (2-6 years, com- pletely toilet trained). Activities will include such things as crafts, creative play, stories, exploring, sand and water play, sing songs and excursions. The program will be held Monday to Frîday from 9:30 a.rn. to 2p. m. An intermediate program (6-13 years) including crafts, music, exploring, excursions and sporting activities will be held Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. An aduit program including crafts, exercise program, excursions and various sporting activities will be held every Wednesday from 9:30 arn. to 4 p.m. Babysitting will be available for aduits utilizing the program. A before and after program (minimum age 4 years), will benefit parents who leave for work, or return home later than the allotted time of their childs' program. Monday to Friday fromn 8 arn. to 6 p.m. The programs will run on a weekly basis frorn June 29 - August 28. Registration will be held at Spencer Community Centre June 22-27. Monday to Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday evening June 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Farnily registration fee for al fine weeks is $100.
