'l'his presentation is part of C.L.O.C.A.'s summer program of walks U'hursday and Sun- days) and talks (Tuesday and Satur- days). The Ministry of the Environment program will consist of a stide- sound presentation en- titled, "We Are En- vironment Ontario", which looks at the role of the Ministry of the Environment and its staff in managing the environnment in Ontario. A film entitled, "Lake Odyssey", which dramatizes the restora- tion of the Kawartha Lakes resort area by an extensive water management program and the potential for re- cycling the harvest of aquatic vegetation, will also be presented. Ministry of the Environ- ment staff wiIl be on hand to answer any questions about the Ministry's projeets or programs. Mi*sehi*ef charge l ai d A Whitby man has been charged with misehief after the door of the local police station was kicked in. According to a spokes- man for the Durham Regional Police, a man went to 18 Division headquarters in the early hours of Sunday morning and upon dis- covering that the station was closed kicked in the door causing $150 damage to a 16 by 24 i- ch window. Charged with misehief is Stephen Seymour, 21, of 101 Kathleen Court, apart- ment 216, Whitby. Hope won her two tickets for a littie poemn that came wrapped in a nut shell. 14 goes like this: "1Community news, Restaurant review, Bargains to buy and seli, Columns and letters, Free Press couldn't be better, So here it ail is in a nutshell." Gostlin won her two tickets for a poem that was submitted on a large piece of bristieboard, written in large letters. Her poem went like this: "I read the Whitby Free Press, and then 1 neyer hafta guess, What's going on .... Around our town... It's the one 1 like the best." The Whitby Free Press would like to thank ail of those people who submitted their entries and we're ex- tremely sorry that we could not give a prize to each of them.
