Attersley • MAYOR THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF WHITBY BY-LAW NUMBER 1297-81 BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2585 WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Whitby deems it advisable to amend By-law 2585. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED as a By- law of the Corporation of the Town of Whitby by the Council thereof, as follows:- (1) That Section 2 of By-law No. 2585 is hereby amended by deleting subsection 59 ln its entirety and replacing it with the following: "PARKING SPACE" means an area of not less than 16.5 square metres, exclusive of any aisles or ingress and egress lanes, with a minimum perpendicular width of 2.75 metres and a minimum perpen- dicular length of 5.5 metres for the temporary parking or storage of motor vehicles and may include a private garage. (2) That Section 2 of By-law 2585 is hereby amended by adding the following additional subsections: (3a) "BANK" means a building or part of a building where money is deposited, withdrawn or borrowed and shall include a credit union, finance or trust company. (11a) "COMMUNITY CENTRE" means a building or part of a building in which facilities are provided for such purposes as meetings for civic, educational, political, or religlous, or social purposes and shail in- clude a banquet hall or privatè club. (34a) "LAUNDRETTE OR COIN-OPERATED LAUNDRY" means a building or part of a building where facilities are provided for the cleaning of clothing on a self-service basis.
